Golf Like The Pros – Practice Like The Pros

Most golfers will say the hardest part of their game is focus. The mental side of golf is often misunderstood. Do you have a friend that golfs well on every round? Why is that? Practice makes perfect. What they don’t tell you, is what they practice at. They practice at mental toughness; golf has often been referred to as 10% Talent 90% mental. When overcoming that mental side of golf, do you try to change your equipment, the time at which you play, maybe even they guys you play with. Here are some tips that are going to help you be, the golfer, you always wanted to be.

The tempo of golf is often a distraction for golfers, you are stuck behind a slow foursome DISTRACTING or maybe the guys behind you are rushing you DISTRACTING and you feel that pressure to golf faster. Well Tempo of the game should never affect the tempo of your swing. Swing tempo is important if you want consistent results in your game. How do I find my tempo you ask? A golfer can find their tempo by doing these simple things:

SLOW DOWN!! I repeat slow down, everyone thinks the speed at which you swing dictates how far and accurate your ball will move. This is true is some instances, but, for the sake of this article we will not be discussing those concepts. No matter where you are playing or who you are playing with; the tempo you keep is is going to make you take the same back swing, have you contacting the ball the same, and allowing you to follow through the same every time. How are you going to get the tempo? Go to the driving range and practice with one club at a time. Take your driver and hit 20 balls, then take your 9 iron and hit 20 balls work your way in 3W-8I and on until you have hit them all. In your back Swing you want to make sure you are coming to the same point every time. When you contact the ball make sure you are contacting the ball at the same rate of speed with every club. People often think that the club should dictate your tempo, this could not be further from the truth. If you focus on your tempo you will see that by swinging all of your clubs the same your accuracy will improve drastically. When you are working on your follow through it will be the same as your back swing, you will want it to be the same with every club. Your follow through will affect your accuracy a 100% of the time. Working on these simple techniques will improve your mental game and when that improves so does your score.

This is a three step process after you are done at the driving range it is time to head to the chipping green. Work with the deep grass tools first then you can work with the sort grass irons. You need to use every club for at least 100 chips. Start with your wedges in the deeper grass and focus not on getting in the hole but just putting the ball on the green. When chipping just focus on your tempo, using the same stroke every time. Chipping is a tool to get to the green, not a tool to keep you from having to putt. Hitting a home run is great but keeping the ball in play has made many great careers. Chipping will achieve greater results if you shoot for the green not the hole. Now take your 8I and 9I over to the short grass and work on your bump and run. Tempo is still your main focus you are just using a club for a different shot, the tempo is still the same though. Your tempo is what matters!! It would be like you are still hitting one of your wedges, you change clubs not the tempo!!

Putting Putting Putting! This is so hard to understand but why? Now we have gone from the Driving range to the chipping green to the putting green. While practicing don't worry about how far or where the ball goes work on keeping your tempo the same every time. You are never going to change your swing for a putt. The only part about putting that changes is the distance. Start with 10 balls and putt then in from 1ft away from the hole. Move your self out 1ft for every 10 balls you sink in a row. Stay focused on your tempo.

The goal for these exercises is to teach your to go through the same steps every time. You are working on your tempo, your tempo can not be affected by anything because it is yours. When you take the time to build on your tempo you will see results!! The game is 90% mental; set a clock in your mind that only allows for the same tempo no matter when or where you are golfing. When your body starts to do the same thing every single time, your mind will become more focused on the task at hand.

One Who Got The Caddy Has The Best Golf Tips

The best golf tips that you will ever find is over the Internet if you cannot afford your own personal trainer, but another way of obtaining the best golf tips ever, is by just straggling along with a group of professional golfers, and listen to what their caddy has to say what the golfer needs to do. The caddy may not look like he can drive a ball at all, but he is sure to know all the inside information that is needed to probably win the game.

He would know the best of the best golf tips to hand out, and to whom when necessary. Carrying their boss's golf caddy with them is part of their job. The caddy boy is the man to know for everything there is to learn, besides the practical side of golfing.

You may just see the caddy carrier as the man with the colourful bib on that has the water and the towel on hand for the player, but still has inside knowledge of the game, straight from the professional’s mouths of wisdom and experience, the man with the most and best golf tips. It may appear that the caddy carrier is not so intelligent, but if once he got a half a chance as an inexperienced player on the green with you, he is surely going to beat you hands down.

Time And Patience Are The Best Golf Tips

From all the best golf tips you may learn over the course of time is time and patience itself, but the best golf tips is still for you to decide, which tips has actually worked best for you to improve your game, and or your techniques. Only you can be the judge of that at the end of the day or game.

More Than Just Golf

While there is nothing wrong with playing a friendly game of golf on the green, using the green has over time become the playground for businessmen to exchange business cards and do negotiations on. Golf has been seen as another gentleman’s game just like cricket is, but there are no negotiations happening on the cricket fields.
Friendships are also made on the golf course over time, and these friendships usually join together for charity cases for when they have competitions. In most cases most of the money gathered for a tournament is donated to a charity of their choice, otherwise it could be used for other things as the upkeep of the clubhouse and the pub is included in that program for up keeping continuously.

How To Choose The Right Golf Clubs for Your Game

How we play golf has changed and a lot of that change has to do with the equipment we use. Our iron sets are different, as most iron manufacturing companies now offer sets that start from the 4 or even 5-irons in answer to the ever increasing popularity of hybrid clubs of hybrid golf clubs among most players. It stands to reason, as for most club golfers hybrids are considerably easier to play than the irons.

The size of driver heads is regulated by the current USGA and R&A limits. Most club golfers would do well to play that maximum allowable driver volume which is 460 cc. If you struggle with reliability with your driver, a larger driver will most likely help in most cases. High MOI and more uniform weight distribution makes larger drivers far more reliable, even from miss-hits. 460cc drivers allow for a larger margin of error.

In common with all clubs, the engine of your driver lies with the shaft. Play a driver with the wrong shaft and you'll struggle to find any accuracy or distance. Most common faults can be reduced or even eliminated simply by playing the right shafts. Struggling with a slice, then playing a more flexible shaft might be the answer. Struggling to get any height - a shaft with a softer tip section could well be the solution. Your driving will get stronger if you match your driver shaft ratings to your swing speed. If you don't know how fast you swing the club, most shaft ratings also tabulate the carry versus swing speed specifications. Browse the specifications of different shafts and match your typical carry yardage to a flex rating.

Sales of hybrid clubs are now outpacing fairway woods by almost 100%. If you need consistency in your long game, some easy-to-hit hybrids might be your best option. Designed to be easy to hit from almost any kind of lie, hybrid clubs can be played from the tee, the fairway and even from the rough. Hybrids are high hitting clubs, so shaft manufacturers now offer a range of shafts expressly made for hybrids.

Iron designs now come in an even wider range of choices. Modern iron designs are there to help with most of the common flight problems. Slices can be eliminated with offset iron designs, for many who struggle with the fat shot and need extra height on their iron shots, wide sole models can help. Check the features of your irons. If their design isn't helping your weak points, then it's probably time for an upgrade.

There are plenty of options to opt for in the scoring clubs as well. Forgiving wedge designs mean you don't have to make any compromises with your wedge play anymore. If the little flop wedge shot is causing problems, then a high lofted wedge may well be the answer. If poor bunker play is ruining your scores, a hollow sand wedge may help. These are super easy to hit and it's almost a putting stroke to get out of just about any bunker.

Relaxed equipment rules have given us some pretty strange looking putter designs. Weird looking, but effective. If your putting is letting you down, a more forgiving putter design might be the answer. Are you closing the putter towards the hole too much? You probably miss a lot of putts to the left (for a right handed golfer) and playing a face balanced putter may well be the best option for you.

The right clubs for your game should make the most of your strengths and reduce your weaknesses. It doesn't need to break the bank either. There are very high value clubs to choose from in the component market. As an added bonus, these component clubs can be custom built to complement your game and that's the best way to play the right clubs.

Playing the right golf clubs for your game is only a mouse click away and our range of clone golf clubs will give you the best return for your dollar. The best selection of custom built golf clubs available online.

The very first clubs (hybrid clubs) were not easy to use and it was hard to swing effectively with them. Rescue Clubs Hybrid Golf Club

A combination long iron and fairway wood resembles certain types of hybrid golf clubs. They are made so that golfers can hit a ball up into the area, achieving the greatest possible drive, while simultaneously working well for difficult ball situations. Hybrids are able to achieve this since the edifice of somberness of the club has been moved into the very lowermost of the club, far different than the base iron.

Some of the other variations may include, but not limited to things such as the flat face of the club and an increased launch angle. By increasing the ball spin during flight, this makes it easier to stop the ball on the green and increases one's accuracy. Custom hybrid golf clubs will allow a golfer to hit farther, according to some experts.

Ideas To Be Aware Of When Shopping For The Highest Quality Golf Gloves

One vital piece of golf hardware is a golfing glove.  The right golf glove can improve your game by improving your grip and the control you have over your swing.  The wrong golfing glove will be more of a distraction than a help.  This is why it is critical to take some time when buying a golf glove and to buy the one that may truly be beneficial.

Most people will only wear one golf glove.  The glove is mostly worn on the upper hand which is nearest to the club grip.  This is most frequently not your dominant hand.  A right handed golfer will often wear a glove on their left hand while a left handed golfer will wear one on the right.  It is a smart idea to spend a while trying on golfing gloves before you get one.  It's best if you are in a position to grip a club while you are trying it on.  This will enable you to get a good sense of how well it fits and whether it improves your grip.

Golf gloves can be made out of many various materials.  Some of the most well liked decisions include nylon, synthetics, knitted fabric, and leather.  The very best quality golfing gloves are often made from leather.  Some of the benefits to selecting a leather golf glove are that it will comply with the shape of your hand and should be very durable.

There will be many various features to think about when purchasing a golf glove.  Some of the things to look for include wedding ring holes, Velcro straps, ball markers, and pointers to accommodate long nails.  Think about what features are most crucial to you as well as your style of play.  There are leather golf gloves out there that will work for nearly each golfer.

Of all the different disc golf driving tips that you could learn, here are a few that are going to be especially important for you to know.

easy golf tips for driving: Make the Club do the Work

One of the best disc golf driving tips that you can get is to make the club do the work. Unlike many players your are putting all the efforts on the club instead of putting on yourself. Beginners more than anything are often seen attempting to smash the ball to pieces in the hope of increasing the distance of their drive and impressing their friends.

You can try this, but you are not going to have much success with your game if you are going about it this way. You don’t want to hit the ball too hard because this will result in a slice, and instead you want to take your time, get the motion of your swing correct and then let the club do the work.

Keep Your Eyes on the Game

Another of the most important disc golf driving tips is to keep your eyes on the game. One of the biggest mistakes that players make is forgetting to keep their eyes focused. That is why this is one of the most important disc golf driving tips of all, because if you don’t get started off right your whole game is going to be thrown off.

If your eyes are pointing towards the left then your club is going to be steep and if your eyes are pointed towards the right then the club will probably come too far from the inside.

These are great hints but you have to believe that this is really just the tip of the iceberg. There are so many other, great tips that you can learn and which are going to significantly impact your game in a positive way. You are developing into a better golfer as more that you learn the better off and the better golfer.

Your Golf Cart Batteries Must be Maintained !

Some users assume that the batteries that operate their golf carts are maintenance-free. A lack of knowledge about basic golf cart battery maintenance can lead to all kinds of problems. However, the key to achieving optimum performance and long life is a solid golf cart battery maintenance program.

It is recommended that you obtain following equipment for use in golf cart battery care and maintenance:

A wrench; distilled water; a voltmeter (an instrument used for measuring the voltage between two points in an electric circuit); a hydrometer (a tool used to measure the specific gravity of the electrolyte solution); a post cleaner; some baking soda; petroleum jelly and possibly the most of all – goggles and gloves.

You should always wear acid proof gloves, protective clothing and goggles when handling lead acid batteries and remove all jewellery. It’s important to have lots of water and baking soda nearby as this will neutralise any acid spills from battery refilling and prevent further corrosive damage. Remember, the electrolyte is a solution of acid and water, so skin contact should be avoided and, do not smoke near batteries and never add acid to a battery.

Some important things to remember are not allow plates to be exposed to air and not to fill the water all the way up to the cap. Do not use water with a high mineral content. Only use distilled or deionised water.

Water should only be added after fully charging the battery. Prior to charging, there should be enough water to cover the plates. If the battery has been discharged (partially or fully), the water level should be above the plates.

Check water levels in each cell of each battery weekly to ensure that the leaded plates in the battery are submerged in liquid. Don't fill the cell all the way up -- add just enough water to cover the plates.

Disposing of Old Golf Cart Lead Acid Batteries

Lead acid batteries have been determined to be unsuitable for disposal as municipal solid waste because they contain toxic heavy metals and have corrosive properties. Golf cart batteries are not to be placed in waste baskets or dumpsters where they will end up as municipal trash.

So, what can you do? Your golf cart's old battery should not be thrown into a bin with your household recyclables and left on the curb. The battery, also referred to as a lead-acid battery, contains about 21 pounds of lead, three pounds of plastic and one gallon of sulfuric acid. These items can be toxic if handled improperly.

If you are the do-it-yourself type, take your spent battery to a quality auto parts retailer that is committed to battery recycling.

Nearly 90 percent of all lead acid batteries are recycled. Almost any retailer that sells lead-acid batteries collects used batteries for recycling, as required by most state laws. Reclaimers crush batteries into nickel-sized pieces and separate the plastic components. They send the plastic to a reprocessor for manufacture into new plastic products and deliver purified lead to battery manufacturers and other industries.

Many states have regulations in place requiring battery recycling. (Thirty-seven states in the U.S. require lead-acid battery recycling; making retailers collect used lead-acid batteries from customers who buy new batteries.)

As neither sulphuric acid nor lead are exactly good for the environment you have to be careful when you dispose of old lead acid batteries. Leave it for recycling. You can also leave your old battery where you buy your new one. If that should not be the case, contact your local municipality to check where you can safely dispose of old batteries. In the old days, when we changed a battery, we threw out the old one and never gave it a second thought. Today, we know better. We know that:

  • Individuals who become poisoned by lead can experience symptoms including irritability, stomach aches, poor appetite, diarrhea, colic, distractibility, and lethargy;
  • Lead acid typically consists of 40% sulfuric acid, a corrosive that can burn skin; and
  • The improper disposal of lead-acid batteries can contaminate soil and water. The toxic metal is not able to dissolve in water or biodegrade, dissipate, decay, or burn, making it an extremely harmful hazard.

On a positive note it seems as if most people take this seriously. About 93% of all battery lead is recycled, making it the most highly recycled consumer product. Help in making sure we go towards 100%!

Tips for the Winter Storage of Your Electric Golf Cart

It's very important to know how to properly store your electric golf cart during Winter. Here are some tips for the proper storage of your electric golf cart:

First of all you should clean your golf cart batteries and ensure that all the cell caps are snugly attached. Then unplug the charger and wash the battery compartment. Start on one side of the golf cart and spray Battery Neutralizer all over the tops of the batteries. Be sure to spray between the batteries, down on the battery racks, and the inside walls of the body panels, if they are metal. Use an old paintbrush to scour all the battery tops and sides. Water from a garden hose using plain water, or use a solution of Baking Soda (about 2 tablespoons to 1 gallon of water) to neutralize the acid.

The battery terminal connections should be cleaned, tightened, checked and treated. Be sure the cables are tight to the post. Carefully wriggle each cable end side-to-side and then gently up & down. There should be no looseness or sideways movement. If your battery terminals are badly corroded, you will need to do some serious cleaning.

Check the water levels in each cell. Be sure the electrolyte (water) in each battery cell is above the plates and use distilled water. When the cart will be left uncharged for several months in cold climates, leave the water level a little low. This raises the specific gravity of the acid, which will help prevent freezing. A lead acid battery keeps much better in the cold than in the heat, as long as the charge stays up.

A fully charged battery will not freeze until 60 to 70 below zero whereas a discharged battery can freeze at 20 degrees above zero. As a battery discharges, the acid turns into water by the basic chemical nature of the lead acid battery. The more discharge, the more water and the more likely it is to freeze. Also a dirty, acid covered battery will self-discharge at a faster rate than a clean treated battery, even in cooler temperatures.

Don't leave your electric golf cart plugged into the charger for extended periods of time. Unplug the charger from the cart and from the wall after the charge is done.

Turn the key off and leave the cart in neutral. Either way, scotch the wheels so you can leave the hill brake released. This prevents strain on the cables and the brake shoes can't lock to the drums.

You can plug your Charger in for a few hours once a month to insure a full charge is maintained If you are not going away for the winter. The charger should be unplugged from the car and the wall after charging.

Finalize for winter storage by checking the tire pressures and inflate to 20-25 psi.

Roll down the rain curtains and zip them part way down. If you have to leave the cart under an open shed, or out in the open, neatly fold the rain curtain and bring it in the house till Spring. Very cold weather will cause the see through vinyl to become very brittle and a puff of wind will blow it out.

Looking Into a Golf Holiday

If you and your friends love to golf, a great way to enjoy the sport best is by taking a golf holiday tour.  With prestigious golf courses around the world, you could choose the one you want to play and then plan a special trip or if you prefer, you could golf at some of the nearby elite courses in your area.  For instance, in the United States, Arizona, Florida, North Carolina, and California are known for boasting some of the finest golf courses and resorts in the country.

Popular golf courses are also in foreign countries although those in Spain, Portugal, and Scotland are among the favorites.  Scotland in particular is a top choice due to the well-manicured greens that are pampered by highly skilled groundskeepers.  In addition to some of the world’s best golf, Scotland is also famous for having some of the most beautiful castles and historical resorts anywhere.

You may want to look for a location offering a golf tournament.  If you prefer not to play a full tournament, then perhaps a mini-tournament would be more to your liking.  For this, we recommend you look at some of the golf courses close to where you live in addition to those in other countries.

After playing, whether you win or not, you and your friends could enjoy dinner at the resort, made by a master chef.  If the spouses join you and your friends on this golf holiday tour but do not golf, they could spend time at the day spa in the resort or head out to shop.

If you are unsure where to go, you might consider working with a specialist that knows everything about golf holiday tours.  This person could provide you with a list of golf courses around the globe, providing advantages and disadvantages of each.  In fact, a travel professional such as this would be able to organize your entire golf trip for everyone involved.

For some more helpful tips for planning and organizing a golf holiday tour look online.  You will discover several sites that contain all the information you will need.  This information would include the costs for your airfare or other means of travel, accommodations, meals, car rental and more.  You may be able to put together your whole golf holiday package from the comfort of your home office.

Look Into a European Golf Holiday

Are you seeking ideas for a wonderful and exciting golf holiday for you and your wife?  Consider a golf holiday in Spain, it would be one great destination, especially if the wife is a non-golfer.  With this, spending time in Madrid or Barcelona would offer outstanding golf but also create a romantic getaway.

Therefore, you and your spouse could find a charming villa to add a little intimacy to the trip.  Tuscany, Italy is also a great destination, one that not only offers incredible golf but also the chance to head to the countryside where you could visit several wineries and vineyards.

For a more exotic golf holiday, perhaps you might want to take a trip to beautiful Thailand, Cambodia, or Vietnam.  These destinations are without a doubt the most beautiful in the world, featuring lush tropical settings, along with the perfect climate.  You will also find people from these countries to be warm-hearted and hospitable, working hard to make visitors feel welcomed.  In addition to golf in an exotic location, these countries are also known for incredible cuisine and shopping ventures.

Without doubt, organizing golf holidays and tours that involve taking your wife or maybe a number of people will require good research and organization.  It also means looking at all the options for golf, even in staying in the United States.  However, you should not discount destinations such as Canada, the Caribbean, South America or Southeast Asia as options.

To work with a travel professional in organizing your trip, you can visit a local travel agency or look at possibilities online.  Travel experts know how to tailor a trip specifically to you, based on the amount of money you can afford, the type of setting you want, and other preferences.

These specialists are highly trained and experienced in putting entire golf holidays together.  In addition to finding and booking time at the golf course of your choice, this person could also arrange all of the accommodations, car rental, flights, and so on.  The best golf specialists also offer numerous recommendations regarding the best places to dine, shop, or relax.

golf - Under Armour Golf - The New Clothing Era

Golf blasfemo

I was recently asked by a student whether they should purchase some info from the internet regarding the mental game of golf. There is an awful lot of material out there regarding various mental approaches to golf. There are even a number of well known sports psychologists out there who work with PGA pros to improve their mental skills.

However, not once have I ever heard of a top player, and I mean a top player such as Tiger Woods, Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer, Tom Watson, ever employ the services of a sports psychologist or mental coach. What a lot of these mental coaches do, however, is imply that they know the mental secrets of Nicklaus and Woods, as if the average golfer can apply them to their own game.

The new era to clothing

The world was stunned as a new era of apparels hit the golf garments market. It's not the typical heavy weight clothes made out of wool / cotton. Instead, it is a body fit armor which clings on to your skin in a lightweight disposition.

Various golf t-shirts are also available to match your skort. Make sure they are comfortable and they don't affect your swing. Meanwhile, if wearing skorts is not your kind of thing, you can also opt to wear golf dresses. There are lots of dresses you can purchase to fit your specific body type, so you should have no problem finding one which suits you perfectly.

Gaining confidence to perform under pressure is simply a progression. I remember as a teenager, I was a pretty good golfer, playing to a 2 handicap by the time I was 16. I had won a few small junior golf tournaments. But, every time I would play in the men's club championship at my club, I would play poorly, usually averaging over 80 for two rounds.

Finally, when I was 18, I broke through. That summer I stepped up my game to play well against more experienced players. In one tournament, a better ball of partners format, we were down two shots with one hole to play, a 550 yard par 5. This was back n 1984. I've always been a long hitter, so even playing with a persimmon driver, I could reach the green in two. However, on this occasion, it was playing into a little bit of wind. I hit a decent drive, leaving myself about 260-270 yards from the green. I pulled out driver and hit it from the fairway, best shot of my life. It rolled up to about 25 feet to the right of the pin. I was nervous as could be standing over the putt, but I knocked it in for the eagle! Unfortunately, my opponent knocked in a 15 footer on top of me for birdie, and he and his partner won by a shot.

There is nothing worse than losing your balance while executing a crucial shot. Aside from these, other accessories are available for you to show off your unique fashion sense. There are golf hats that are important especially during sunny days. There are also sleeves which you can buy to protect your arms from getting sun burnt.

Fashion is an important part of the golf game, especially for ladies. That is why you should make sure to buy only the best in ladies golf fashion

Cape Town is a bit of a golfers paradise, and it offers a large selection of world class golf courses for the golf tourist to savor. If you also include the many tourist attractions that Cape Town has to offer, then you get a golf holiday destination that is tough to match anywhere else. The favorable South African Rand exchange rate is also an attraction for tourists coming from Europe or North America. There is a large choice of Cape Town golf courses available as well as golf courses around the Cape Town area. Golf Digest has ranked 15 of these courses in South Africa's top 100 courses. This includes the internationally renowned Arabella Golf Club and Resort which is one hour's drive from Cape Town. This championship course is arguably the best course in the Western Cape, and with good reason. Set in spectacular surroundings on the Bot River lagoon this stunning golf course has hosted numerous South African opens and offers tee boxes to suit all levels of golfer. Recommended golf courses in the beautiful Cape Winelands area near Cape Town include the Jack Nicklaus designed Pearl Valley Golf Course, Erinvale Golf Club, De Zalze Golf Club, Stellenbosch Golf Club and Paarl Golf Club.

The viewing station at the top has a restaurant and a bar with spectacular views of the city and the Atlantic.

Wine estates located in the Cape Winelands area are responsible for producing some of the world's best wines. Most of the wine estates in the region offer wine tasting and tours of their vineyards and cellars. There are numerous wine routes one can take through the region, and there are many guided bus tours which leave from Cape Town. Another popular attraction in Cape Town is its beaches. The numerous beaches in Cape Town have spectacular mountain backdrops as the scenery as well as soft, white sand.

The V&A Waterfront is Cape Town's most visited attraction, and offers good shopping facilities, wining and dining establishments, various live shows and the Two Oceans Aquarium. Many boat trips can be booked from the V&A Waterfront, including a boat trip tour to the Robben Island where one can tour the maximum security prison where Nelson Mandela was incarcerated. Besides the Cape Town golf courses, theses are just some of the other attractions that Cape Town has to offer.

How To Eliminate the Back Swing Dip

golf videos

The PurePoint Golf swing theory points you in the right direction and gives you a system of fundamentals to measure yourself against. In golf this is very important; however situations arise where you just can't figure out why you are having certain problems. Whether your problem is hitting behind the ball or hitting the ball thin, occasionaly we are clueless to where the problem lies.

We teach a fairly horizontal swing plane compared to most. Even though there are several major benefits to this version of the golf swing certain complications can arise very quickly. This tip in particular was designed to keep golfers from hitting behind the ball. My objective is to inform you on all areas of the golf swing, so that when certain situations arise, you can adjust accordingly. And ultimately checkpoints pre-established.

  • The golfer(s) back shoulder in his/her backswing dips down; meaning that the back shoulder is lowering towards the ground. This is hard to do when you have no lateral movement or weight shift back and away from the target, as we teach. However, this is super common among players who have a horizontal swing plane. The tendency is to drop your back shoulder as your swing plane becomes more horizontal.
  • Please understand that if you dip your back shoulder in your backswing this can cause many different problems in you swing. Your timing, hand position at impact, weight shift through the ball, and follow-through position could all be negatively affected.

Solution

  • Fortunately there is simple solution. Venture to the practice range and take a golf ball. Place the golf ball underneath your back foot (please make sure that half the ball is in the ground so that you don't fall over). If a ball is uncomfortable use a towel or something that is at least an inch off the ground. The ball should be placed underneath your back heel in order to ensure that you have no weight transfer and that your back shoulder does not dip in your backswing.
  • Then simply take your normal swing. If you determine you can hit a ball or you can just take a few practice swings. Focus on not dipping your shoulder in your backswing (and keep your back shoulder up not down). I guarantee that if you master this skill you will make solid contact with the ball on a more consistent basis.
  • This drill will force you to practice a swing with no weight shift back and away from your target and simultaneously assist you with dipping your back shoulder.

Practice this drill and then be aware that if you are having difficulty hitting behind the ball at any point in your round, the problem could lie in shoulder position in your backswing. To learn more go to PurePoint Golf Instruction
PurePoint also offers great golf training aids

A Difficult Game of Golf

Golf is one of thos games that look ever so easy to play, but can infact be quite difficult when it boils down to it. The game itself is a basic rule, hit the ball and attempt to pot in. But there are some physical aspects which can help improve your game and that a lot of people lack and that is why they find it extremely difficult to play golf.

Concentration

Golf heavily involves high levels of concentration; you have to concentrate when you strike the ball and have to concentrate when you putt the ball, all of this concentration leads to a high level of self discipline and if you do not have this discipline in place, then you are going to lose out when you are on the golf green.

Accuracy

As well as concentration you have to have an eye for accuracy, accuracy is something that somebody has naturally, without a calm hand and a good eye you are literally going to be unable to strike the ball to where it needs to go, while your opponent has the upper hand over you.

Temper

To sum it up I would say that you need to have a good head on your shoulders if you ever want to win a game of golf. If you have ever played the game, you will come to realize that you need to have a good temper. Throughout a game on a green you are going to at least mess up one shot, but if you have a bad temper you are going to keep on intelligent and reasoning about this one bad shot and then end up making yourself furious. Which will finally end up affecting your performance on your accuracy and concentration.

Hitting Long Golf Drives requires a driver that Fits - Does Yours?

Every golf hole begins at the tee. If you have difficulty driving, then you're opening every single hole at a disadvantage. You might save your par with a great short game, but you might well be going for birdies if your drive had found the fairway.

For the majority of players, long golf drives and consistency with the driver are far from being impossible. Hitting long drives is easier than most golfers understand.

With the modern golf ball and Titanium driver, long drives come from hitting the ball on a high launch angle and getting the best angle of descent. It isn't about low carrying drives any longer. Long golf drives now come from high launch and long carry.

With extreme swing speeds and on-center hits, pros can still get height on the ball, even with low lofts on their drivers. For the majority of club players however, playing extra loft in their drivers will boost accuracy and carry. Most average players would get best results from drivers with 11 - 14 degrees of loft.

Playing the proper shaft is crucial when it comes to long drives and consistent golf. The shaft plays a crucial function in all your clubs, but the effects of playing the wrong shaft in your driver are magnified.

The majority of golfers play drivers with graphite shafts. Unfortunately, the majority of golfers also play shafts that are too stiff for their swing speeds. That probably has a lot to do with the most common fault in golf, the slice. Use a shaft that is too stiff and you'll probably slice the ball.

This has a lot to do with the popular misconception that graphite shafts are too soft. That might have been the case 10 years ago, but modern graphite shaft fiber patterns have given us first-rate models with excellent flex profiles.

The majority of golfers would benefit from playing lighter driver shafts with softer flexes and softer torque profiles. The light-weight will develop swing speed and the medium torque will allow the shaft to load properly during the swing, getting the club square back to the ball with the most energy. More yards come from more energy.

Tip stiffness also plays a important function in how your drives will launch. A shaft with an overly stiff tip section will have an bad effect on your drives as the trajectories will suffer. The launch angle is where a long golf drive starts. Bear in mind, we're after piercing flights not low stingers.

Matching your driver head and shaft specifications to your swing speed is the most important part of consistently long golf drives. Your driver should help your game, not work against it.

Golf Carts

While many folks think that golfing isn't really golfing unless you walk the course, the reality is that some folk just can't do that.  That's where golf carts turn out to be handy.  This writer personally will not play golfing often without the advantage of a golf cart, but that is's just my preference I have a tendency to be a little lazy.  But with the new golf carts that are out today, they can make golf a little more delightful.

Besides not needing to haul your golfing bag around with you, the golf cart can also help you in avoiding fatigue and carry along a cooler of nibbles, soda, or beer together with you if that is what you like to do when you golfing.  You may get a good rest on a sunny day when you use a golf cart to navigate the course.

There are basically 3 large golf cart makers that reign supreme over the golfing cart market : Yamaha, EZ Go.  And Club Car.

Some golf carts are powered with little gas engines while others are electrically powered.  The electrical golf carts were the 1st industrially produced electric automobiles for non-public consumer use.  Modern golf carts might have car-like styling despite being no larger than a standard golfing cart.  Accessories like audio entertainment systems, custom wheels, and custom body panels in an assortment of colours are now being offered as decisions for the private golfing cart.

Golfing carts are not just used on the golfing course.  Some little communities or neighborhoods will employ a golfing cart where their absence of pollutants, lack of noise, and safety for pedestrians and other cars are profitable.  While purpose-built for general transportation, these are called Neighborhood electric vehicles and they have various operating restrictions such as top speed and heavy regulation on street use.  They do resemble traditional golfing carts in style, but some are enclosed to accommodate for use in every kind of weather.

There's a enormous market for OEM parts on golfing carts.  Each major producing company has their own line of aftermarket parts to enhance off-road capacities.  Because golf carts can have a long life, folk often buy used golf carts making these O.E.M parts very valuable to folk who have to fix broken parts of their golf cart.

golfing carts are thought to be by many golfers to be an essential part of the golfing game.  Others just think the golf cart make a golfing course more deadly.  Either way, the truth is golfing carts can really help make the game more enjoyable by leaps and bounds.

Fantastic Tips on Golf Blogs - Finding a Reliable Golf Forum

Do you want to become an expert at golf? If you start out trying to become an expert then it's probably not going to happen. Becoming a professional golfer is very tricky because you need to invest a lot of time and effort.

There's no reason why you shouldn't carry on trying to be an expert. Even if it's not possible for you to become a professional golfer you can still enjoy playing the game. By reading golf blogs there are many tips that you can find

Think You're a Good Player

Although you need to use your body to play golf properly, your mind is also very important. It's a game of strategy that you need to consider. You need to have a good understanding of the game to play it well. You need to think about it so that you can understand what is and what isn't possible. Getting around obstacles will only be possible if you actually think about it.

You must also try to achieve mental clarity. Focus is important for various things throughout our lives, including golf. If you want to be a professional golfer then you need to have complete control over your mind.

Take Things Slow

One of the biggest problems that most golfers have is that their swing is far too fast. It's important that you take your time if you are going to try and become a successful golf player. If you hit too fast then this can create problems because your ball will often end off in the sand pits.

Golf experts need to know more about the game. You must consider how fast you are swinging if you want to make it as a professional golfer.

Use all your Clubs

A professional golfer will know just how important it is to use his putter. The putter will be the most commonly used club in your caddy. Even so, people often don't give it enough credit and focus instead on their driver. If you want to make it as a golfer then practicing your putting skills are a must. You can't possibly practice putting too much.

Although the chances of becoming a golfing expert are fairly remote anything is possible with a bit of hard work and determination. You need to be determined and willing to put in many hours of practice.

In The Market For A Golf Holiday Tour

If you are in the market for a great golf holiday tour check out a golf travel package available online or through your travel agent.  A golf holiday will get you guaranteed tee times and accommodations for some of highest rated courses in the United States as well as other great locations around the world.

Many of the golf resorts will also have meeting or conference rooms available for your group. Of course, no golf travel package is complete without tee times reserved at some of the top rated courses in the world.  A corporate package will include group discounts.  The more people the less it is per person.  You will also want to inquire about special discount offers for your golf travel package such as discount vouchers for greens fees at other local courses, car rentals and meals.

A golf travel package can be found for under 00 and some for as little as 0.  The cost is dependant on the number of nights, the number of meals included, the location, and excludes taxes and travel expenses, such as airline flights, to and from the destination.

Plan a golf travel package that is unique for your corporate group.  With all the locations to choose from this would be easy.  You name the location and I can guarantee there is a golf resort nearby.

Some destinations to consider for your golf travel package could be international places such as England, France, Italy, Greece, South America, Mexico and many more.  The United States boasts of many highly rated courses with beautiful resort accommodations.  These resorts are sometimes all inclusive and will include gourmet meals, use of the spa and gym, and of course greens fees and tee times.

Make a golf travel package reservation in England and enjoy and itinerary that could include arriving in Manchester and being met and greeted by your car and driver and delivered to Southport.  If you are not feeling too jet lagged you could play a round of golf.  Your second day you would play a round or two at the Royal Liverpool. On day three you would play at Formby and so on.

The cost would vary of course on the dates but could include: Six nights first class accommodations, car & driver or rental van, full English breakfast daily, lunches at all three Royals as well as guaranteed tee times & paid green fees, and all the services the local resort offers.

You may want to stay in the U.S. and plan your golf travel package around one of the golf championships such as the Masters Tournament at Augusta, or the U.S. Open and watching the pros in action.

It is always important to plan ahead to insure your golf travel package will be the best vacation you have ever taken.

A Look at Some Cool Sports

We all have played sports at some time in our lives, sport is fun, enjoyable, thrilling and it gives you a great section of a healthy body, mind and soul. But what are the best known sports around? Why do people love them so much? Let’s take a brief look at the most watched games.

Football
Probably one of the best known sports in the world, countries come together whenever a football match is broadcast. Whether it’s the European Cup or the champion’s league final, football is a truly fun game to participate in and too watch.

Boxing
We have seen some great boxers come and go such as Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson and many more. Seeing a person with skill fighting in the ring is very entertaining. Playing boxing may not be everyone’s nature, but for some it is a life times dream.

Golf
A game that almost anyone of any age can play. I remember visiting theme parks and playing crazy golf, the game can be very stress free and very exciting at the same moment. It’s a bit of the negative of boxing, in golf you actually like to perform the game rather than watch it on the set, which can be a bit tedious. Let’s face it, it’s hardly as enthralling as watching extreme sports performers hurtling down the mountain side on their snowboards is it?

Rugby
Another sport that is quite similar to football, a lot of people tend to support various rugby clubs and are keen to see them play every week. The playing of this game has exploded a lot over the last few years.

F1 Racing
This is still undecided as to whether it is a sport or not. All in all when you think about it how much fitness can you get by driving a car. There are a lot of people that do like watching F1, in my personal view I could not think of anything more tedious than sitting there and watching car zooming around. I would rather watch people going round the track on second hand bikes to be honest.

Are Golf Shoes Essential for the Golfing Beginner?

As you probably know, there are shoes for just about each sport possible.  There are only a few sports that don't have a special shoe that's meant to improve the way you play while using them.  Yet many folks cannot afford to always buy all the additional sports equipment like shoes that are required.  Many beginner golfers often ponder whether it is actually important to purchase golfing shoes to really play golf.  In attempting to balance cash matters with safety issues there are a couple of things that you need to keep in mind.

Golf Shoes Have Limited Use

Your first consideration should be your skill level.  A newbie usually cannot excuse the expense to buy golf shoes.  They're certainly not cheap, and since they are only can only be worn while on the golf course they've a extraordinarily limited usage outside the golf course.  While basketball and tennis shoes can be worn in different situations, the golfing shoes must remain on the golf course in order to avoid damaging them, or the floor covering on which you are walking over.

The Importance of Comfortable Golf Shoes

If you are a highly talented golfer or even tend to play quite regularly you may need to invest in a good pair of golf shoes.  Sometimes investing in golf shoes will need you to search for a pair of  shoes that you are essentially thoroughly secure wearing.  You want to remember that many golf courses require you to do plenty of walking so you want shoes that fits comfortably.  Something with lots of cushioning as well as a good fit is important.

Golf Course Rules Concerning Golf Shoes

You need to also contact the golfing courses where you plan on playing.  There are some who require golf shoes in order for you to play.  While this could appear like a little bit of a spoilsport if you weren't planning to buy golf shoes initially, the golfing course requiring the shoes is a safety consideration to ensure that you don't slip and fall while you are swinging your club.  A good pair of golf shoes has spikes that dig into the ground a bit while you are standing that will provide a bit of extra traction and ensure that you aren't slipping the first moment you swing the club.

Golf Shoe Choices

Taking your time to research for golfing shoes is a particularly sensible idea.  There are dozens if not hundreds of different colours so often selecting the best color that you like could be a bit of a tough call.  In addition, not all shoes are made equally.  The shoe that is best for your foot would possibly not be best for some other person.  Also, there are countless different styles that you can select from, as well as all the different brands, materials and price ranges.

Improve Your Game with a Good Pair of Golf Shoes

A Golf Fitness Coach Equals Good Golf

Golf fitness coach. Have you ever considered one…and if so, what exactly were you looking for? There are many ‘regular fitness’ trainers trying to buy a piece of the golf fitness and training market that seems to be fast gaining exposure equally on the television and inside print thanks to Tiger, Vijay and Annika.

But the first thing you need to think when looking into hiring a golf fitness coach or program is the trainers experience inside golf.

Yes…that is high on the list of requirements. Does he/she know golf? Do they know the biomechanics of the golf swing? How about muscle function during the golf swing?

An simple test is during the initial interview or if you’re researching it online is to either ask very golf specific swing technique questions; or take a look at the detail on the website. You’ll discover out real quick if this person or program be able to help out your golf swing, game and health.

A golf fitness coach or program be supposed to incorporate power, flexibility, endurance, body awareness, balance, stability and even a nutrition component.

It’s simple for a trainer to have a power component…but is it specific to golf? A quick test. Take a look at any of the exercises. Are several of them on seated machines for instance? If they are…run! This is NOT a golf fitness coach and/or program. This is considered ‘frequent fitness’.

At this moment stretching. There are dozens of stretches for each public. But take a look at several of them. Do they even remotely look like they will benefit your golf swing?

Stretches involving trunk flexibility; lower back; hamstring; and even shoulders specific to the mechanics of the swing are what you decide. Familiar stretches are greater than nothing, but will delay your results. You prefer specific stretches.

Body awareness. Does any of the exercises resemble golf positions or phases of the swing? Do they look like you would be on your feet and inside your golf posture? Because stated higher than, if they are seated on machines, your body will learn nothing in regards to your golf swing.

Training your body specific to golf incorporates positions almost identical to what your body would be in during a few section of the golf swing.

Stability. Training your body to improve stability inside your swing can buy a little complex if you actually choose to see results. The swing happens at between 80-100 miles an hour. One of the biggest flaws of amateur golfers is moving in their golf swing.

Moving either laterally (sliding), vertically (up and done) or together. This is death to your golf swing. To boost your stability involves specific power drills most trainers don’t even know about.

I possibly will go on-and-on about the requirements of a golf fitness coach or program. It is critical you make the right decision. I have heard horror stories of golfers working using ‘so-called’ golf fitness experts and their game getting worse. Using the proper research this won’t happen to you. So definitely believe a golf fitness coach.
